Scotts Events
Some people are frustrated because they missed an event they discovered afterwards. Event producers are frustrated because they cannot effectively reach their audience. ScottsEvents solves these problems by  offering free listing  and searching of ALL events in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Currently there are about 3,000 events listed weekly, with many more added every day. We expect eventually to have about 10,000 to 12,000 weekly events listed.

ScottsEvents make searching for events very easy by comprehensive pull down search parameters for event category, event date range,  and event location options. Searching is extremely quick.
History of ScottsEvents

 Hi, I am Scott. For a few years I produced a monthly waltz dance,  Friday Night Waltz along with two friends. Many people loved dancing at our events. We were frustrated because promotion was expensive and time consuming. After a while, I started emailing a list of waltz and vintage dancing events, initially called Scott's List of Waltz Events.  The list became Scott's Waltz Events then finally ScottsEvents.

The reaction was overwhelming! People wanted me to add their events in Los Angeles, Seattle many other places. People came up to me and asked "Are you THAT Scott?" Apparantly my list got emailed  around and around. Then people wanted to add non waltz events,swing,latin.  I started to automate entering  the event. The project just grew and grew to what you see now. 

My goal now is to list every event in the world.
Philosophy

Search Parameters The main page allows you to make a search for events by  selecting of one type of event category, for a date or range of date, for a region, locality, or zip code area. You may also enter a one word or phrase 'key words' instead of the selected category. This is a free service. You may create a list of events any number of times that you want.
Categories There are 200 categories of events, with new categories being added constantly. Some typical categories are dancing of all kinds, music of all kinds, sports events of all kinds,  live performances of all kinds, street fairs, exhibits,, clubs, benefits, shows, lectures, museums,  kids events, opera, theatre,  reunions,  amusements, hobbies and many more.
Event areas
 We list events for the following counties: San Fransisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, and Sonoma. We will be adding more counties as more events are added. We have over 300 event locations from which to select. Event locations range from the broadly geographic, such as "North Bay", South Bay to the very specific, such as a zip code. We have listed all the zip codes in the bay area.
Date ranges
 ScottsEvents has some 450 options for date range. Typical date range selections are today, tomorrow, day after tomorrow, this weekend, next weekend, through end of next weekend. Also included as option are many holidays or key calendar days, such as New Year's Eve. Christmas, July 4th, Mother's Day, Father's day, and so on. We are adding unusual calendar days as we discover them. Event producers, events venues, and event attractions have the option of linking their event to any of the calendar days that they want.  We also include specific date going foward a year.
What is an event?

An Event is a leisure, recreational, entertainment, social, spiritual,  hobby, commercial, civic,  or professional activity that has a time, place, specific purpose and intermittent frequency, and  publicly available.

Events are dances, garage sales, bowling tournament, chess tournament, antique show, pet show, county fair, movie, live music concert, swing dance, music performance, ballet, symphony, reunions, expositions and conventions, and TV listings.

Examples of activities which are NOT Events:  traditional retail store, school opening and closings, private events, commercial or civic openings, or any commercial or civic activity which is regular, long term, repeated activity on a year long daily basis. Any event that requires membership outside of admission fee is not considered an event for listing on ScottsEvents.
Advanced Search
 There is a link on the main page "Advanced Search", which allows you to select up to 10 categories or 10 key words or phrases, in addition to the selections for area and date range.  Advanced Search does require 'cookies' to be enabled on your computer. Advertise
 Have very highly targeting side bar advertisements linked to specific categories or search words. Highly effective  and very low cost alternatives to advertising and promoting you products, services, or events. Very low cost to select categories, locations, or search words.
Let us host your Event Website
 We are highly experienced in hosting your event, venue, or artist website. We can create catalogues, shopping carts for your cd's and clothing or other items, lists of ticket buyers,  process the purchases for you, and forward the order directly to your location. We can also maintain multiple lsits of your emails, and create unique emails for your email lists.
How events get on ScottsEvents

 We add new events two ways: 1) our staff enters the events and 2)  producers, venue manager, groups, performers, or artists enters their own event. We encourage everyone to enter their own events.
Submit your event for free
 You are welcome to add your event to our list. The process is very easy. Just click on the "Submit your events for free" option link on the main page. This will lead you to several pages, which you will enter the event title, description, dates, locations, contact information. The basic information is free to enter. There is not cost to enter basic information about
Subscribe
 While all the basic searching for events is free, some people want to have additional services, which are available under our subscription services. With a yearly renewable subscription of $10, you have the options of automatic email of your specified  event parameters. Emailing of event listings may be daily, weekly, or  monthly. Also, with your specified events, you may opt to have your parameters automatically enabled when logging on, so that the listings are displayed when first entering ScottsEvents.

Subscribers also get advanced notice of special events. Occasionally. ScottsEvents co-hosts fun events, and provides either discounted tickets or advance tickets sales to the subscriber list.
Privacy Policy
 We do not sell, trade or give away information about ScottsEvents subscribers, event producers, event venue managers, or events attractions.
Sponsored pages
 Create 1/8 web pages of anything for a sponsored pages. These pages show up on our sponsored pages, and are a very low cost method of reaching self selected high value audience for your products, services, or events.
