ScottsEvents aims to list all events in the English speaking world.

I enjoy going to different events. I was very frustrated that my local newspapers, the San Francisco Chonicle and the San Jose Mercury News, would list only a limited number of events. I always knew that there were lots of interesting, fun events out there, but I often heard about them sometimes by accident, and ocassionally after they occurred.

I have put on weeky waltz and tango dances for the last several years. But it was very expensive or impossible to easily reach the people who might be interested in learning and dancing at our dances. Various internet event listing websites were poorly done by people who didn't really use their own websites for looking up events to go see, or for posting their own events. Hard to list, hard to search, bad results, painfully long time to scan through the results.

An Event is a leisure, recreational, entertainment, social, spiritual,  hobby, commercial, civic or professional activity that has a time, place, specific purpose, intermittent frequency, and  is publicly available.

Events are sports activities, fairs, symphony, opera, ballet, movies, theatre, expos, conventions, musical concerts, dances, garage sales, antique shows, pet shows, reunions, expositions, and conventions.

Examples of activities which are NOT Events:  traditional retail store, school opening and closings, private events, commercial or civic openings, or any commercial or civic activity which is regular, long term, repeated activity on a year long daily basis. Any event that requires membership outside of admission fee is not an event for ScottsEvents.

You are welcome to add your event to our list. The process is very easy. Just click on the "Add Events" option link on the main page. This will lead you to event entry pages. Each page will ask for event title, event description, event date range and date repeatabilty, event locations, event contacts, and event "attractions". Free, no cost to enter events.

When you create an account you can
1) add events
2) weekly email listing events from your selection criteria.
3) automatic logon selection events.
